dilium Showcases Spatial Computing at TTG Rimini, Transforming How We Experience Travel
13/10/2025
From October 8 to 10, dilium proudly joined the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini - Italy’s leading B2B tourism event - as part of the TTG Next STARTUP initiative promoted by Associazione Startup Turismo, which brought together 66 innovative startups redefining the travel industry.
Inside our dedicated stand, visitors discovered PortalGate our Spatial Computing solution that enables anyone to access another place as if they were truly there. Wearing an Apple Vision Pro headset, guests could instantly “step into” resorts, hotels, or destinations worldwide with stunning realism and flawless visual quality. What began as a technological showcase quickly became an emotional experience, a journey between reality and imagination.
Over three intense days, hundreds of visitors, professionals, and buyers experienced first-hand how Spatial Computing can transform the travel and hospitality sector. Major travel agencies, tour operators, and hotel brands approached us with interest in adopting these immersive experiences to showcase destinations and improve visitor engagement.
We also hosted a special panel titled “Journeys into the future: Tourism meets Spatial Computing” (event details), where our CEO Donato De Ieso discussed the potential of Spatial Computing alongside Gian Matteo Guglielmi, Head of Digital Transformation at Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.
“It was a pleasure to participate in TTG Travel Experience together with Donato De Ieso. Spatial Computing is the natural evolution of augmented and virtual reality: a technology that allows people to interact with digital content in real space, overlaying data, images, and information onto the world around us to create truly immersive experiences. It’s an innovative language that transforms how we live places and tell stories.”
The audience witnessed something truly unexpected: in the final minutes of the panel, Donato put on the Apple Vision Pro live on stage, streaming in real time his point of view (POV) from the headset directly onto the giant screen behind him. Through PortalGate, spectators were suddenly transported into another world — walking virtually through spaces that felt tangible and present. The room exploded in applause, with hundreds of attendees amazed by the realism and sense of presence.
“One thing is to tell stories, another is to let people live them. Magnificent pavilions at TTG Rimini, from Barbados to Indonesia, the Philippines, and our beautiful Italy, deserve to offer the same sense of wonder through Spatial Computing. With technologies like PortalGate, we can bring visitors and customers inside those destinations - making them live, not just see, your worlds. Thank you all for the warmth and energy you shared with us.”
During the event, we also received coverage from RAI Emilia-Romagna, which featured dilium and our live demo inside its TTG report by journalist Serena Biondini - watch film at 1:10 minutes.
For dilium, TTG Rimini was more than an exhibition, it was a tangible confirmation that Spatial Computing is ready to enter the tourism value chain. From destination marketing to virtual tours, the applications are vast: imagine visiting a luxury resort before booking it, walking through a historical site from your living room, or experiencing your next holiday before it begins.
We thank Associazione Startup Turismo for the opportunity and for believing in a new way to experience travel. The enthusiasm we encountered confirms that the future of tourism is spatial and dilium is proud to help lead the way.
