L'histoire de dilium a commencé dans une salle de classe de lycée. Donato enseignait l'informatique quand un étudiant, Roberto Sommariva, a rendu un test après seulement 20 minutes - et c'était excellent. Cette rencontre a déclenché une collaboration qui a dépassé les cours pour aller vers la recherche. Ensemble, ils se sont dirigés vers le laboratoire de recherche LivingLab avec le Prof. Ceravolo sous la supervision du Prof. Damiani, explorant les premières applications de réalité augmentée et technologies spatiales. En 2017, ils ont fondé dilium: initialement focalisé sur les projets AR, avec Roberto comme partenaire fondateur et les Professeurs Ceravolo et Damiani rejoignant comme conseillers et partenaires. Ce qui a commencé comme une curiosité académique a grandi pour devenir une entreprise d'Informatique Spatiale qui mélange des racines de recherche rigoureuses avec l'exécution de produits.
